I have worked within the industry since 2015 managing Kings Ship Tattoo along side my husband.

haven’t always worked within the tattoo industry. I have done many varied roles.

Every role I have ever taken has meant a high level of customer service, responsibility and management. Which suits me well.

I have always loved piercings, it was what I spent my wages on from my first job. Every week I was getting something new, I was obsessed until I started to run out of space!

I started piercing in 2018.

I did my research and took a fantastic course with the London Piercing and Tattoo Academy. The course was led by a fantastic lady, Sabrina who had decades of experience starting her career as a medical professional before she was a piercer and passed her unique industry insight on to me.

If you want to be the best learn from the best. I would never get a kit from the internet and assume I knew what it meant to be a body piercer. Everything I do is grounded in education.

It’s important to be humble and to just learn.

In an industry which is not highly regulated it takes commitment from those within to be better and to strive for excellence rather than being either “half-arssed” about it or motivated by money.

It was something I was already into and I’m now so passionate about it because I want my clients to have the experience that I never did twenty plus years ago.

Shortly after completing my qualification in body piercing, I also travelled up to Sheffield as we had purchased our laser tattoo removal machine from Marshalls which is a leading UK manufacturing company of laser machines in their various forms. The course that went alongside the purchase of the machine was really informative. It went deeply into what our machine was capable of so that I’m always putting client safety to the forefront of the process.

Again it’s not enough to just do an online induction into laser treatments. You have to go that extra mile.

We stayed strong through Covid epidemic and came out all the better, as I was determined to push forward.

Skipping forward to 2021

I completed a tooth jewel course.

It’s another form of body adornment which sits comfortably alongside piercings as it’s just a different form of expression.

Tooth gems is something that I loved in my teenage years as well and I would try to emulate the likes of Gwen Stefani and the Spice Girls, but with vey bad results.

25 years later with the correct dental tools and beautiful Swarovski crystals and a fantastic course created and developed by Lana of Crystal Canine, who with the help of dentists has developed a method of safe tooth gem application and the only course in the UK to be signed off by the British Dental Association.

I love every form of adornment and I am proud to be the first to bring tooth jewels to Portsmouth.

In 2022 it was another first for Portsmouth when I brought Piercing Parties to the masses.

Having worked several Tattoo Conventions across the years I opened up piercing to groups and created a real experience to having piercings.

In 2023 I launched my own curated Jewellery brand Disco ball x Genevieve

After piercing for years it was clear that clients struggled to find jewellery online. I put together a unique store of my best sellers to purchase with ease and confidence online.
